How many people know that the messiah was a jew

many people i think do not realize our savior is a jew and worse many believe in replacement theology.

I think most people know he was Jewish. If you are Christian and don't know that, then you need to actually read the bible that you are suppose to be living by.

It goes through his lineage in the bible. I think it's the first chapter of Luke.

The view that Israel and the church are different is clearly taught in the New Testament. Biblically speaking, the church is completely different and distinct from Israel, and the two are never to be confused or used interchangeably. We are taught from Scripture that the church is an entirely new creation that came into being on the day of Pentecost and will continue until it is taken to heaven at the rapture (Ephesians 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17). The church has no relationship to the curses and blessings for Israel. The covenants, promises, and warnings are valid only for Israel. Israel has been temporarily set aside in God's program during these past 2000 years of dispersion.

? What is your point? The nation of Israel may or may not be considered 'jewish' early on but the question was about Jesus being Jewish and by the time he was born they were most definately an organized 'Jewish' society. Both religious and non-religious history agrees on this. Ancient Roman writings from the time call them 'jews'. Saducees and Pharasees are their leaders and they were Jewish. Jesus was most definatly born into a Jewish society to a Jewish family in a Jewish village.

I dont know who is inturpreting the bible for you or what but you are really and saddly misstakin if you really think the scriptures teach what you just said you know many people read but few study the word to many want to parrot what others teach instead of seeking the truth themselves I counsel you to do this as well.

All the prophets from ADAM TO MUHAMMAD were MUSLIMS but the followers gave them different identity. and made them Jews, Christians etc. All of them preached not to associate with ALLAH THE ALMIGHTY GOD with any one. He is supreme and one.

It is your belief, and that is my belief. Islam says no compulsion in Deen (religion).
Report as
does this make Abraham, Issac and Jacob --Muslims? Jesus? And do you think people will believe this?
Report as
Yes one third population of the world believes that they all were Muslims. The followers at that time too were Muslims (muslims = one who surrenders to the law of Allah the God Almighty and his prophets). But as time passed they called themselves Jews, Christians and Muslims.

Most people should know it but denial comes in handy and is used often. He was born into Jewish society and raised Jewish but once he began his ministry he often spoke out against Judaic Law and practices, turning the Jewish leadership against him until it was them that condemned him and demanded his death and even chose a criminals life over his.

He never spoke contrary to the law of moses what He spoke of was the Jewish leaders adding to and missaplying what our Creator gave through moses.

The Messiah WILL be a Jew, not WAS a Jew... The Messiah hasn't come yet. When he does, he will be a Jew, righteous and God fearing.

I certainly do. I have a Star of David tattoo over my beating heart in reverence to all Jewish people, especially Gods Chosen Son. Are you Yonah of his bloodline?

Then, maybe like me, in the depths of your spirit,, you feel apart of Israel. I'm not sure about my bloodline either, but something in me loves all things Jewish & Israeli. SHALOM
