What is considered a good GPA to get into college?

I have an overall GPA so far from my Freshman, Sophomore, and First Semester Junior year of a 3.9. Is that considered acceptable?

You might have to make up for it with a good ACT score

You need more than just a good GPA. Yours is more than acceptable but with grade inflation being what it is, you'll actually find you have a lot of competition. You'll need a good ACT or SAT score that shows you know something and didn't just get good grades. Schools will want to know if you just sat in front of a book or did you do some extracurricular activities. You'll certainly get into any good college with that GPA but you'll need some icing to go with that cake if you want a good scholarship.

Ah, I'm in band, art club, and I volunteer at my local hospital. If that counts towards anything. ^_^ Thank you for answering.

All good stuff. Now study up and knock the ACT or SAT out of the park and you'll have all kinds of options available. Good luck. Get smart and do something good with all those brains.
