A 14 year old can't legally have a real gun in any country I know of, but a air pistol is perfectly fine, I got my first pellet gun when I was 9 . . . they're not that dangerous though they can hurt if you get hit . . .
My 14 year olds had their own rifles. That doesn't mean that they have unlimited ready access to them. Their weapons are safely locked in my gun safe until we go shooting. At that time, they shoot their guns. Letting a teen have unlimited access to their weapon is stupid in the extreme and the parent is guilty of neglect - in my opinion.
yes 14 yearold are alowed to go hunting which means that they are allowed by state law to weild, own, and use a gun. you can also use it for target practice and a bb gun is still a gun and nobody i know is offended if a 14 year old has one
OK before you listen to these anti-gun people listen to me. It is perfectly ok for a 14 year old to have a handgun. Now the real question is do you accept the responsibilities of owning a gun? I myself am only 16 and have many rifles and handguns and i use them responsibly. so i don't see the problem with you owning a handgun. While we are too young to legally own and register a firearm we can still inherit them from an adult. so you are totally fine
