I was a re-gifted victim! Son-in-law wanted this sweater. Got the right size, color, and manufacturer! He went nuts, telling me how great the sweater was, and how much he appreciated getting it! The very next year I got the same sweater back that I had given him the year before! This time he told me how much work it was for him to go out of his way just to get it for me! It even had my original receipt stapled to one of the tags, just in case he wanted to return it for something else!
My former wife was a teacher. People would always give her re-gifted and garbage which they didn't want. We were fortunate to live near a Goodwill thrift shop. She would simply drop the stuff off on her way home.
Yes. I find that re-gifting is one of the best options for gifts for people who I might of forgotten about or who I didn't plan on seeing over the holidays but decide to show up at. The last minute. For example, a relative of mine's girlfriend came with him to Christmas eve dinner and we only had a day in advance as warning! So I decided to give her a box of chocolates that I had received before I got off for Christmas break! Hope this helps if. You are considering re-gifting a present!
