I can sew and crochet. My granny taught me!!!!!! It's funny because all of the "fabric" stores have turned into craft stores. I guess sewing is a bit out dated but I like it..... it relaxes me!!!

*raises her paw* Ohhhh..me!!! I can definitely knit and I cannot sew at all. :)
I know how to sew
l can sew but my machine hasn't been out of the closet in more than 10 years!
Tried once.... Never doing that again...
Well now..Nafta..don't open wounds..I think I nearly flunked sewing in school. I can knit and crochet a little but where I shine is gluing!! I can glue a hole in a pant pocket faster than you can blink an eye..course problem is trying to get your hand to fit back in the pocket..Hubbyt suggest I don't do that any more.. I cook well tho...cough:)
I'll be happy to teach you!
I know how, my grandma taught me.
I crochet using the Granny Square.... I've crocheted 125 covers/blankets in 40 years.
Both actually, and crochet ;) We were taught it in school for 8 years. We had a handwork class :)
Yep, I know how to sew -- by hand & with a machine. I was making potholder sets & selling 'em for a while. They looked awesome, and were fun & easy to sew.
I crocheted when I was a kid, don't remember how to now. Never knitted, but wouldn't mind learning... and I'd really like to learn quilting. Doesn't seem that difficult, if my machine was working well, I'd probably be able to figure it out on my own... :8-)
Dude, you should've seen me fixing the toilet last week, installing a new doorknob & lock, re-wiring a fan & some X-mas lights, spackling holes in walls... I've changed my own tires, flushed out radiators & changed thermostats, oil, transmission & brake fluid, sparkplugs, batteries & cables, etc... that stuff is a li'l more surprising -- haha! ;-)
When you can't afford to hire someone to do that stuff, you're forced figure it out yourself! Plus, my father built race cars from the frame up, built engines, etc... also had his own business installing overhead garage doors, etc... the ex-husband framed houses, installed siding (did a house w/ him, toolbelt & all!!), replacement windows, etc....
Some stuff I've learned, some seems to come naturally. Really, those things aren't that hard to do, just takes a li'l common sense, some tools & Duct Tape!
MrBU watches it though... along w/ EVERYthing else on TV.
I'm good enough at sewing. I sew holes in broski's jeans and my jeans all the time. :o
I saw my 7th grade math teacher yesterday at the grocery store, and I'm just like, "No...." Mom goes, "You don't wanna say hi?!" *jokingly of course* and I'm all, "NOOOOOOO!!!!"
I miss sewing. My machine needs to be checked out, the bobbin keeps coming unwound & I can't figure out why. Changed the needle 'cause I thought it might be bent -- wasn't the problem. Hmm... :(
I know how to weave...I'M SO ASHAMED OF IT!Do YOU see old ladies WEAVING?No!They knit!*Sobs*
I know most women are suppose to be able to sew good and knit.... but I for one don't sit around trying to learn it cause I simply don't want to it just doesn't suit me probably would have to actually know how first for me to get down with it and like it LOL :)
