It's pretty simple, they go about their lives just like you do, but the only difference is that they don't believe in God, or believe in a different God. Just because they have different beliefs, doesn't mean that they are automatically unhappy, unruly, or have no values.
Not every one has to have an invisible friend like a lot of children, most of us outgrow invisible friends at about 10 years old. There are those people who are so inadequate that they cannot live without the fantasy of a Jesus or buddha at their side to talk to and mutter prayers to etc..
Well, no one does actually, they just may not have Jesus in their heart as he must be asked in rather than forced as other influences do. Many deny him but you and I know that inspite of those denials, and many who think us small minded and inadequate, that we are quite the contrary. Indeed it must be sad to have nothing to look forward to afterthis short life is done.
Not the wisest question to ask. Jewish, Muslim, and many more people live without Jesus. That doesn't mean they don't believe in god. The more appropriate question should of been "How do people live without a god?" Many people are insulted by this question you asked.
You must understand Barbie. Perhaps the majority of people in your surrounding area "live with Jesus", but globally, you and your commune are a minority. Randomly pick 10 people out from earth's population, only 3 of them would be Christian.
Easily. We live believing in ourselves and the people around us. We live knowing we are as great as how much effort we put towards improving ourselves. We understand that bad things happen to good people and that chance is a part of nature. We spend our life learning and understanding everything around us. We strive to be strong, use our ingenuity to its fullest, be one with our surrounding, survive, and be the greatest we can be without admitting ourselves to a made-up entity.
Strange isn't it, we atheists get along perfectly well without having to rely on an invisible friend to either blame our failures or our fortunes on. We also get by without superman, bat man, and the belief in all the fictional characters. We accept our own accomplishments as our own as well as our failures. I don't have to worry about offending some god. I chose my own path with my own abilities not relying on a sign from someone that does not exist.
They don't see things the way Christians do. To the unbelievers, they are satisfied & need not search for a deeper meaning in their life. They are happy with what they believe, not all are called to believe. To the believer, they see them (non believers) as being blinded (veiled). But unless there is a radical change in believers lives & attitudes, the non believers shall never desire to know the deep secrets of God. All is fair in love & war.
The problem is, misinformation. Many in our world today blame or question God for all the bad things happening in the world today, in turn they say "there is no God" Do you think this is how God intended his world to be? No, all this began way back in the garden of Eden when Satan deceived Eve into disobeying God (Genesis 3:3-6) The Bible provides so much hope for mankind. Most people cannot imagine a world without hatred and violence, but this is what Gods word promises (Psalms 37:10,11 & 29) in particular verse 29 says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will reside forever upon it." This would not be comforting if world conditions were to stay the same they are today. Revelation 21:4 reveals God's promise to make changes to this earth that will benefit all of us. The ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ provides release from our sins giving us the opportunity to live in paradise as God originally purposed. For more information visit jw.org
They live as they please - feeling they have absolutely - no accountability to a higher being. (Revelation 12:9)
They often feel what is good is bad; and what is bad is good -(Isaiah 5:20) Woe to those who are saying that good is bad and bad is good, those who are putting darkness for light and light for darkness, those who are putting bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
In dense darkness it is impossible to see anything. One easily becomes lost or disoriented. Similarly, those in spiritual darkness lack perception and soon become disoriented in a spiritual sense. They can lose the ability to distinguish truth from falsehood, good from bad.
What a vivid picture this paints of practicers of sin! They are attached to sin the way draft animals are tied to wagons. These sinners do not fear any coming day of judgment. Mockingly they say: “Let [God’s work] come quickly!” Rather than submitting to God’s Law, they twist things, declaring that “good is bad and bad is good.”—Compare Jeremiah 6:15; 2 Peter 3:3-7.
