When the people come meet the dog you could start crying, and they won't want to take it away if they're good people. I cried for my dog I use to have and the people said they couldn't take it if I loved it so much. Most likely though you'll cry anyways if you really love the dog like I loved Casper :'(. My father took him away on my birthday and gave him to someone who has a farm or something. I'll never forgive him for that though.

Yeah... I didn't know till after my birthday though, because I thought he was on our porch still... My brother told me what he did though. My father said he didn't know it was on my birthday when he did it, but I don't care. I still won't forgive him :'(

Why can't you keep it? If you truly can't afford to keep the animal and take proper care of it, it's the right thing to do. I know how much it hurts. I had to do it but fortunately it was to someone I knew and they gave him back to me when my situation changed.

We can't afford it but my mom said its too much. And my mom went to high school with him an he loves dogs. But he lives 500 miles away, literally

I don't know how old you are or how aware you are of how bad it is for many Americans. People are losing their houses, ruining their credit and struggling to even put food on the table. I am a total animal lover and it would rip my heart out. It is expensive to have a pet. I understand where your mom is coming from but I also understand how you feel. I wish I had a better answer.

Cry till they say fine well' keep it

Im sorry but If you can't take care of your dog properly then you have to rehome it but instead of giving your dog to a stranger or someone far away try to convince your mom to find a family member or friend that lives close by then you'll be able to visit your dog and it won't be as bad for you or your dog.

Drop on your knees and cry when the people come and after if they still take it. Never cry before. While they are there beg your mom not to give the dog away tell her how much you love the dog and you wouldn't like any other dog better right in front of the people. Tell the people things about the dog like he sheds a lot, has bunches of fleas. That stuff. If he still gets gaven away don't talk to your mom unless you have too and cry day after day to show her how upset you are!
