the word limit is 1500 char or something so this is in two parts - I'm yappy - Don't know what your age is but here goes ... you can't stop your skin from producing oil. Trick is, to keep it clean. If you are teen / early 20s, it is because your hormones are changing, your skin produces more oil, and pores get clogged so that bacteria proliferates and your get blackheads (oil and dirt) and whiteheads (bacteria). Wash your face regularly and it is really important to try to NOT touch your hands to your face - your hands have dirt & bacteria and that goes right onto your skin. Regularly = 3 or four times daily. Stay away from makeup foundation - it'll clog pores. Use a gentle exfoliant that is oil-free - I used two brands through the day, a seamud soap in morning (I have older skin) and in the evening St Ives green tea formulation with the salicylic acid (medicated). I used that for years, for blackheads.
