Back in biblical times men and women all wore those robe things. If they could dress the same then, why not now? The women's clothing, though the same, probably had a more female style to it. Jeans can be the same way. The Bible does however command that women dress modestly but to say that means no jeans aloud would be blatant legalism...

I grew up in a family where girls were not allowed to wear pants. I never saw why not and as soon as I was out of the door I was in pants. I still like skirts too. I am not blaming my parents for this, it was just the way they were brought up. They did what they thought was right. I think different.
Why not? Nothing in the bible says women can only wear skirts. God nevers says anything about types of clothing. He says we should be modest in what we wear but He never once says pants are immodest. Thats totally a human judgement and, in the greater scheme of things, incredibly unimportant.
And we can clearly see the results of the oppression of women in other countries based on ridiculous things like "women must dress a certain way". Women are beaten, thrown in jail, and murdered in other countries just for doing something as simple as wearing pants. That's what happens when you believe in some religious scriptures so strongly and try to make them law. I guarantee you can't come up with one good reason why women should not wear pants.
