I have an iPod 4th gen and I was installing an app and it is stuck on "waiting", what should i do and what is wrong with it?

I tried holding it down to where i can delete it and re-installing it, didn't help at all, tried tapping it and doesn't work, and then i tried keeping the app there and signing out of my iTunes account and restarting the iPod and then signing in, it didn't help. I also deleted the app and went and tried to install another app and it did the same. I am wondering what is wrong on my iPod's iTunes and App Store.

K this really works
What you have to do is hold down the lock screen button and the home button at the same time for like 10 seconds or until it shuts off then the apple logo will appear
Eventually it will turn on that will work

Go into iTunes -> more -> downloads and look for stuck downloads there. It's non-obvious, but it's also not difficult. Delete all the downloads in progress in iTunes and then try downloading apps again.

if that doesn't work you can go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Restart the device > Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off. After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on.

That just resets your settings to default.

If that doesn't help, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Setttings

Turn your iPod off & restart it. Then re-download the app. If it does it again keep restarting your iPod & if that doesn't work, I'm afraid you're outta luck. Hope this helped!(:
