Why isn't my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone able to receive picture messages from any iPhone?

My mom has iPhone 4 and my sister has iPhone 5 and every time they send me a picture message my Samsung Galaxy S3 can't download them and vise versa. Why is that?

Probably because your phone is just too awesome. jk. I would try using an application like Groupme, or KIK, and having everyone get on it, then you all could instant messages and send pictures back and forth. As for why you can't send pictures mail, it sounds like a carrier issue.people send pictures from iPhones to Galaxies and from Galaxies to iPhones all the time.

I have Verizon as well as my mom and my sister has AT&T.

That's weird. It should work. Check the APN settings

This could be a problem with the phone or the carrier. You could try hard resetting your phone and then sending the pictures and see how that works out. If not, contact your carrier and ask about this.

how do you hard reset the phone? will my things be deleted if I do this?
