True. Look at all the rich and famous who have anything and everything the want and are miserable. They're in rehab, married and divorced over and over. We are created with a void that can only be filled by Him.
This question reminds me of a sad little man who once said, "If you give your heart to Jesus you can be as happy as I am." The poor guy didn't know how miserable he was. If I had to be that happy I think I'd find a very tall building and take a leap into space.
Pontes, I see from your profile that you have quite a few physical interests -- running and martial arts among them -- so you probably have some kind of life outside your religion, but if you can ask about the rest of us being "unfulfilled" I wonder whether you're really too young to be aware what the question means.
I'm pleased to tell you that there are potentially as many kinds of fulfillment as there are people on this planet. Not all of us find the way that works for us but, hopefully, the majority do. For you, fulfillment comes from religion; for the rest of us it has other sources.
False I am fulfilled by a multitude of things and have no use for religion of any kind. No one is the same. Bully for you if religion works for you.....just remember it is not so for everyone. Pushing your faith onto people who have no interest is not a good way to promote your faith.
Pontes, this is another feeble, dull-witted attempt to discredit and demean atheists. This is a thinly veiled act of discrimination against people who are different from you. It's quite easy to see your purpose here. Please stop.
True. Without the Supreme Objective Other to point our inclinations toward we may discover pieces of the WHAT in our world, but the WHY is the mystery without the concept of God which remains hollow and finite. There is just no human context that can now or foreseeably EVER hold enough information to answer any question that would not in turn generate more questions. Only God can contain it all. Jesus dealt only with human relationships as they stand present to all of history, because their conduct can destroy the earth if left to the self serving inclinations of finite individual interests. Only the concept of something outside ourselves compels us to be who we are on behalf of all who have come before and all who will come after us.
False. I live a fulfilled happy life and so does 90% + atheist countries with lower suicide rates than America. Instead of coming up with creative ways to discriminate against atheist why don't you spend some time in your own back yard trimming the hedges or gardening because its never good when your ugly is showing.
