I've heard that it helps you get a better sleep, and keeps you at a healthy weight, is this true and what are other benefits

It is a strange way to try to live. MY sister died of stomach cancer even though she was a veggie for 55 years, and grew most of the food they ate also. The human body evolved eating a variety of things. maybe if enuff people get that weird in another few thousand years humans will have a strain of people called Homo vegetarionus that can survive without normal food. Who knows?
