Please help me with my ps3

so im looking for a jailbreak for my ps3 and i found it but when i do the steps it dont work... what i did: step one download the file st2: make a folder called PS3 make a folder inside that called update then put the update file in that folder plug it in to the ps3 and so to update in setting then select use your own but it dont show up it says it found nothing? what should i do?

The reason the PS3 won't function is because you haven't updated the software console. This is an important step in the jailbreaking process. Make sure to update the console and click on "Ok." Visit http://www.ehow.com/how_12178352_jailbreak-ps3.html for more information.
