How do I change my sleeping habits?

since the beginning of winter break, I stayed up late every night, until my regular sleep time turned into 4:30 AM; I wake up around 2-3:00 in the afternoon. if i try to sleep early I can't sleep. :(

Set your alarm for 7am. Make sure you get up at 7am. Don't take a nap during the day. Since you went to bed at 4:30 and you're getting up at 7, you're going to be exhausted come night time. You'll be back on a normal sleeping schedule in no time. Just make sure, every morning you get up early, and don't sleep in.

Take some melatonin at the time you want to go to sleep. Make sure to get 8 hours of sleep after that.

there are many ways to change sleeping habbits. herei s one way:
If you want to wake up earlyer/later, then set your alarm to the time you want to wake up. lets say you want to wake up early. so set your alarm to 7:00am. then, if you want to wake up later, then set your alarm to a later time. 10:00a,mm, for excampel. then when you want to go to bed, lets say you wantr to go to bed early. well, go to an OTC Medicen area, Walgreens, for excample. take the sleep pill about 10 minuts befor the time you want to go to bed. then you should be sleepy. if you want to go to bed later, dink caffened products, coffe or CocaCola or pepsi, at the time you normaly go to bed, and then you should be awake a little while longer. Hope this helps! ;)

If you are going to get a good nites sleep, don't drink coffee at night, I know because I drove a 18 wheeler all night, for over 40 years, and coffee or coke has a lot of caffeine, and it will do a fine job of keeping you awake.

I usually have to do a 24 hour thing. Wake up at 3 or 4 pm then stay up for 24 hours, plus you'll have to stay up longer from 3 or 4 pm the next day till 10 or 11pm that night. Drink a coffee or mountain dew or a red bull it will help. Good luck. Once you get back to a regular sleeping habit, your bed will feel soooo goood. But be careful, because once you start sleeping in again or staying up late your body will try to go back to sleeping during the day. We are called night people, night owls, and some call us lazy. I say we are the predators, and the day people are the prey.

If you REALLY want to change your sleep habit or at least what I do to go to sleep is... do as many push-ups as you can... or chin-ups or something equivalent and take a bath as hot as you can stand then go to bed.... if I still cant sleep I just start reading.... I can always be asleep within an hour :)

Take melatonin at early night to go to sleep. Then wake up early in the morning and drink coffee to stay awake for the day time till night. That's what I would do. Hope this suggestion helps.

i use sleeping pills when i want to wake up early. you can use it to change your sleeping habit too :)

some people say that sleeping pills are unhealthy. those people have most likely never tried it themselves, but have heard it from hippies or naturalists on talkahows, and just take it for good fish.

Get an alarm clock. Go to bed late, but set it for what time you wake up for school. Then you will always wake up on that time. HOPE THIS HELPS!

You are trying to sleep before you need to. The body must rest to heal itself, and regenerate cells. If you are regenerated, it has no need to rest/sleep, you see? Simply stay awake, until you want to go to sleep at the hour you would like to get back to sleeping. As you have been "out of whack" for a bit of time now, do not become discouraged if it does not work the first (it usually does though!) day, keep at it, you'll get there!

Go to bed at 4:30 like you have and start waking up every day at the normal time you got up at when you were not on the winter break. Set you alarm as normal and try not to sleep past the alarm and not to fall asleep during the day. This should leave you tired and ready for bed at your normal bed time. If your body does not go back to a normal sleep schedule after two or three days try benadryl its non-habit forming and should nock you strait out. Good luck!
