The Lord Jesus Christ. God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit.
The Eternal Word
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
I think there are three theories. One is that it was an asteroid that got pulled to earth, I think one is that it was once a part of Earth. And the last, I think, is that it once was it's own planet that came to close to Earth.
Though I am Christian, from a scientific perspective the moon was created from several possible origins but the one most excepted is that it was formerly a part of the Earth which broke off for some reason (which would explain its similar composition), by a Mars sized object which can be proven by angular measurements of the moons orbit around Earth. However there a few other widely 'considered; theories.
Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can?t see? such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. (Colossians 1:15-17 NLT)=============================He came into the very world he created, but the world didn?t recognize him. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father?s one and only Son. (John 1:10, 14 NLT)
The psalmist expressed his amazement about God's wonderful works: "When I see your heavens, the works of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have prepared, what is mortal man that you keep him in mind, and the earthling man that you take care of him?" (Psalm 8:3,4) "Praise him, you sun and moon. Praise him, all you stars of light...For he himself commanded, and they were created. And he keeps them standing forever."-Psalm 148:3-6) The Bible calls him "the Giver of the sun for light by day, the statutes of the moon and the stars for light by night."(Jeremiah 31:35)

The early solar system involved a lot of collisions. Our moon formed after one of these collisions caused much of the earth to get thrown out and re-coalesce. Shocking that so many people want to know SO LITTLE about the physical world as it actually is, that they all parrot the answer "God" as if that explains anything!
