"Why does God allow Satan to attack us?"

Report as

Satan never attacks directly, as he knows it is impossible for him to win in a head on fight, no, he prefers a more subtle approach, instead of attacking us, he simply steers us in the direction he wishes us to go, which is straight into his domain, but God allows this, because in order to prevent it, he would have to take away the free will which he gifted to angels and human beings, and that is something he will not do, for he wishes us to choose him, not to be forced to him

Believe me, if you're talking about that biblical satan, you wouldn't stand a chance if he attacked.
He's not attacking. He's tempting. Just like our ego. I mean with that ego that we all have, satan doesn't even need to move a finger.

I don't think he allows him to "attack" us but he does tempt us and it is our choice to answer the calling.

He is testing us to see our strengths and weaknesses, to see if we will do what we are supposed to do... I believe all of life is a test, and as meaningful as it seems, that is all that it is. A test.

There are numberous reasons. It can be a testing of our faith. Another is to bring people to a point of decision. We all have to decide at one point or another whether we will receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior or reject Him.

James 1:2-20

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
9 Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, 10 but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. 11 For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.
12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

God doesn't allow it. We do when we turn away from God. He gave us free will to choose Him or choose evil.

The ultimate reality is that God controls everything in the universe, including Satan, and that "in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28).
