Straightening is so bad for your hair. But if you really want it please let a professional Salon do it for you. Do not buy those products on the market. They are chemicals and you can burn your scalp and loose hair if you don't know what your doing.
Just remember this, we all want what we don't have.... some people with straight flat lifeless hair would love to have your hair. ;)

Brush it while you blow dry your hair. I did that when I had really short hair.

Natural is always a good way to go, but of you prefer straight hair then go to a salon or the store and purchase a treatment. That straightens your hair. At most salons it is anywhere from 20-40 dollars for them to treat your hair. It usually last about 4 months maybe longer depending on the quality. It helps keep your hair straight naturally. Without the use of heat.

Keep it curly! Curly hair is great on a guy! But, if you insist on straightening it, then be more careful and do it on a lower heat.

What you can do is get a thinner straightener and use a heat protectant. when you get to your roots to straighten clamp it a couples times. Up and down so your scull gets use to the sensation and then you can start!
