To get a chance to kick some jihadi azz join the Army or the Marines. I'd recommend the Marines first, then after your 4 years are up, switch over to the Army because as the bigger service there's more room for career advancement and being a MArines will make you a better, more well rounded soldier. Once in the Army go for the Airborne, those guys always get a chance to whoop azz! Then work your way up into the Rangers, then the Special Forces. But if you REALLY wanna remove jihadis from God's green Earth a dozen at a time, go into the Air Force and try out for Combat Controller, they're the Spec.Ops badazzes who call in the airstikes on the taliban scum who don't deserve to breath our air.
All branches have a Special Ops unit(s), which earn the paratroopers badge. It is just a matter of knowing what to sign for. Air Force has a pararescue unit who are trained as combatants also. But the Army and Marines are the quintessential ground fighting grunts..
If you want to get into the fight first, go marines but you stand a larger chance of being KIA as a Marine. Army gets down in the dirt too, but to compare them, if a squad of marines were pinned by a machine gun nest, they charge, the army calls up a tank. The navy is for you if you like boats and travel. The Air Force is definitely for you if you don't want to get down in the dirt and have a more cushy life, however you aren't going into the Air Force as a recruit fresh out of basic and expect to just be plopped down in a cockpit.
ARMY. I can't fully explain. But i will enlist in the army as soon as i graduate & my father was in 82nd airborn & served his full term. I talked to him about my enlistig & he said army is good and a fun time. But he'd like me to be in coast gaurd so he could visit me on beaches : )
