Natural talent + practice, practice, practice! Practice long and loud when no one else can hear you so you're not self-conscious... when you're home alone, driving, etc.

Singing is produce by making sounds through melodic vocalization. Practice in place you feel comfortable on pitch and vocal tones. You would have to notice subtle changes to adapt to the proper pitch you want. Essentially just think of it as throwing a fast ball in baseball a person practices enough they will notice the muscles use to throw the ball more accurate to a desired location.
In a nut shell.
1. awareness
2. practice
3.time

Practice singing whenever u can! If you have an instrument you can try to match your voice with a note u play. It also can do with talent u were born with. Play a song and practice over and over again singing. I do not take singing lessons but I am fairly good and I do take piano, guitar, and french horn lessons. You can try musical instruments because knowing how to tell which notes are which and what pitch they are on a music staff will help u read music when u sing.

to become a good singer, you need a good manager. Elvis, The Beatles, Robertino Loretti, and so on.

practice! practice! practice! Also do vocal exercises and try holding your breath longer and longer and also develope an "ear" for music (when you listen to a song try to match the pitch with what you are singing)

hope that helped! GOOD LUCK!

I dont take lessons... but i sing daily, any chance i can. I sing when I walk around the house, in the shower, putting my baby brother to sleep, all the time. but before you sing make sure to warm up by humming, gargling, make crazy sounds and just be weird its fun! :) and i helps alot. try starting at one note and gradually going up in pitch. and also like rocknrollchick222 said, holding your breath helps to but dont hold it to long or you'll pass out. also your breathing helps. the correct way to breath is when you inhale your stomach goes out.. breath through your stomach.

HOPE THIS HELPS
xoxo
-Amanda

sing as much as possible. Record yourself. If you can honestly see improvement, keep going. I'm a professional singer/actress. And warming up before singing challenging songs can help technique, and the way others hear you. If you can listen to a recording of yourself without cringing, you should keep going. good luck :)

Use a piano to help you increase your vocal range.
Drink some hot tea to help relax your muscles before you start a serious singing sesh where you will be straining your voice.
Learning to sing as though your voice comes from your thighs instead of your chest is extremely effective.
Stand when you sing, to get the maximum open-ness of your airpipe.

Joining a church choir or just attending church can be another way to get some practise in with a different repertoire than you normally use + you can sing as loud as you want.

+ practising a.m.a.p ofcourse, but you already knew that.

I have been told that I can sing very well and I've never had a singing lesson in my life, but the key is to sing one of your favorite songs everyday and sing during any free time.Eventually your voice will become better.

Practice short sections of any song that you want to learn ... firstly try to learn it as the singer sings it in the original version. If you think you know the original, try to add your own vocal decoration.
Repeat until perfection ;)

A lot of people are telling you to practice but take it from me, practice is good, however, if you get in the habit of practicing wrong techniques, you can end up hurting rather than helping your vocal ability. Always remember these few things: Never try to imitate another singer. Be original. Develope your own vocal style. Whenever you sing, always sing a song with passion and meaning. I promise you it will sound so much better. Don't be afraid to sing out, don't practice singing quite. Don't be afraid to hit a wrong note, especially when you practice. This is my secret, when I sing, I hit a wrong note on purpose and then I just hold that note until I run completely out of breathe and I do it over and over until my vocal chord push past that bad note. Believe it or not, it works. Do vocal warm up exercises. It's not good to sing without warming up your vocals first. When I had my band, my background singers and I never rehearsed without vocal warm up exercises first. Also, one last note, learn to breath correctly when you sing.

youtube may be a good answer but, i suggest that...... singing in your room is not a good idea because not everyone is a good singer right away so.... believe might not help because wishes dont always come true so do believe but dont put your hopes up but pratice, practice, practice and you could be singing like me... my boyfriend might not have been good when i met him but now he's rocking on stage so just listen to your heart and get a kareokee machine.(it does help thats how he and i sing (very) good now.)

You can put a song that you want to master on, only the instrumental version, listen to the way the music is formed and then practice the song. also do some singing notes, warm ups,.

Well I would say it does take a bit of natural ability and definitely practice. I have been singing for 16 years and just had my first solo in choir this year. The shower is actually an ideal place to practice, the hot steam is good for your vocal chords. Find some good warm ups that work with your voice and practice practice practice whenever you have a spare moment!

I practice everywhere I can. in the shower, in the car, you name it. OTFS [on the flip side], my family dubbed me the world's loudest shower singer. if I ever make it to Nashville, I may not be likely to end up soprano, but I can land the mezzo-soprano. and you never know, when I get famous you might find me touring, and the small venues I might not even need a microphone.

Strengthen them vocal cords by laying on a flat surface (bed or floor) and breathing in your mouth and out your nose. By doing this you are stretching and strengthening your vocal cords. Every night and morning.
