Why do women wear bras?

No, really, why do they? I mean, I saw this one article and it said there are no health benefits or reasons why women wear them. I don't know, maybe the writer was denying the information or something, I don't know. Why do women wear bras? What health benefits are there? And it would also help to cite sources as well.

For a few years the style was to not do so, but even those gals got over that desire when the boobies started to sag and droop.

If you have a larger chest and you don't support them, they will get saggy from flopping around over the years. It is more for aesthetic reasons then for health benefits.

The 'article' you mention is incredibly suspect .. due to the fact that there ARE health issues that can result from not wearing a bra, at least for the most part.

Especially for women with large breasts. Simply put ... A bra adds support and distributes the weight. Large breasted women are notorious for back problems due to the added weight. Remember this added weight consists of loose tissue, and skin. Without a bra to hold them in place and prevent 'stretching' as we age, there could potentially be health issues...and when jogging or jumping rope .. even perhaps a potential black eye here and there.

Then there is a modesty factor also. A bra conceals ... which is self explanatory. Gotta keep the girls under control!

As we age, women's skin loses it's elasticity as it is. Which brings me to this point that I believe Joan Rivers brought up years ago:

What does a 60 year old woman have between her breasts that a 20 year doesn't?

Her navel!

If women didnt wear bra's, when they became old ladies their breasts would sag so low that you might mistake them for testicles

To protect the girls from the drag of gravity and, for those modest few of us, so our nips wont show. Also, the right bra actually enhances the girls appearance as well. The article you read was probably written either by a man or by some radical feminist. If you go without a bra your girls will end up around your knees much sooner than if you wear one. Or youll have to soend thousands to get fake ones.
