Why did the Egyptians mummify people
Ancient Egyptians used to believe in after life so they mummified people for immortality but that was long time ago we. Now here in Egypt no one does that anymore
Because they thought their bodies needed to be preserved for the After Life.
To preserve them for the afterlife that's also why they buried them with so much gold and gems so they would be rich in the afterlife
So their bodies wouldn't become a skeleton and so they could take their organs out and put them in jars.
The Egyptians believed in an afterlife, so they thought it would better preserve them into the afterlife.
Im not sure if im right i learned this in like 6th grade but my suggestion is so that the body would have happiness in the egyptian afterlife.
