Harmony my horse had a baby in our yard but it was breached and my husband and I saved it! The baby's name is gypsy but he is big now and I love him to death! Or my monkey smokey who is very jealous and attacked someone trying to scare me!
I had a dream where I was at a whale show, and most of the whales looked like yaks and mythical creatures. The dream actually turned out to be the best dream I've ever had, and inspired me to write. Here's a video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYWnP4tUhnA
I had a student in my class that had a "medical dog". She had seizures on a regular basis, and her parent's had gotten the dog from a facility that trains dogs especially for that. I do not know how they taught the dog to do it, but he could certainly give us warning before a seizure happened. I saw it happen 3 or 4 times! It took a little getting used to having the dog in class everyday, but by the end of the school year, I was sad to see both of them go.
I had to kick about an 8ft bull shark on the nose to get him to back off while I was offshore free-dive spear fishing. Also while I was surfing I had a dolphin swim right up to me, check me out, and swim away.
When I was three I would ride my tricycle on the side walk and our dog (part wolf) would walk beside me and then stop in front of me at the end of our yard. I would get mad and turn to go the other way and he did the same thing at the other end. He would keep doing this as long as I was on my trike. Of course my Mom was watching me too.
Once I found a whole dead cow on the side of the road!... And it looked recently hit... SCORE!... another time I found a really messed up cat in the middle of the road and when I was 5 I found a completely flat magpie on the road...
I'm not sure if this qualifies as being COOL but it was certainly wet.
Three or four years ago I was at Mogo Zoo, a few hundred clicks south of Sydney, and was trying to photograph a Sumatran tigress. She turned her back to me and I waited, camera to my eye, until she turned to face me again.
Through the viewfinder I watched her lift her tail but, not really knowing much about tigers or cats, I kept waiting.
When she let fly with a stream of urine I leapt to the side, just a little too late, and she got me. Bull's eye.
All the years as far back as I can remember I have counted road kill. Not cars or trucks but road kill. I still do it now. I love it when you see a big fresh wombat. I'm sorry he got hit but he goes on my road kill tally for the trip.
