Yes of course. An inter-galactic starship will descend on our solar system and eat each planet it encounters - since it's a robot-ship - it's designers long extinct - it doesn't understand it should not eat the third rock from the sun, because there's life on it. Or was that an episode of Star Trek?
Do you know, I was talking to a community member on this subject on Dec 21. She said since the world clearly did not end, doomsayers were ALREADY coming up with a new date to attempt to scare people with. I'd say that community member was correct.

Woop-de-doo! Why do you need this utter tripe to scare yourselves with? There isn't enough energy in the entire Solar System to destroy the Earth. I agree, the Sun will swell up and swallow the planet Venus and burn us to a crisp, but that is about six BILLION years away. Probably past your use-by date! A comet or asteroid big enough to wipe us out would be front page news a year before impact. It ain't happening. It can't ever happen. If you want Doomsday, go and play in the traffic....
