Do you have the guts to take something that doesn't belong flushed down the toilet out with your bare hand?

I don't lol.

Okay, if you're familiar with the second-to-last-question I asked, then you'll know why I'm asking this.

I don't know about flushing change in the toile.t. I don't want to scratch the piping or anything. -_-

So here's what you need to think about.....are you willing to get your hands a little dirty - hands that can be easily washed - or pay a gazillion dollars to a plumber to fix the stoppage. I'm sticking my hands down there EVERY time.

what else are you going to do.... risk getting the object stuck in the toilet where it may possibly not be retrieved..... That happens... I should know.... the only option at that point is to replace the toilet.....

Don't worry, if your hands start on fire then you will want to stick them in the toilet. :p

I do it with my mouth like I'm bobbing for apples.
But I recommend flossing good afterwards.

As Madrid 15 said, use gloves. That being said I had a $20 bill fall out of my pocket and into the toilet. Those were the days when that cover my lunches for week. You can bet I reached in and grabbed it out and went straight to the sink and washed it and my hands!

You asked earlier about swallowing 23 cents in change. (No clue why someone would do that) but would I retrieve it? Not a chance!!

You may have to go deeper than the latex gloves so why bother with them. If not flushed, objects will be in the part of the trap easily reached with your hand. It wouldn't make my day to do this but if you own your own home you will occasionally be doing things like this though rarely. Taking a toilet up to replace it is not uncommon or to put in a new floor in the bathroom. So grin and bear it and dig in. Have paper towels nearby so you don't leave a trail on your way to the lavatory.
