First, get yourself out of whatever situation is getting you upset, if possible. Possible to get away or not, start doing deep breathing exercises & try to think calming thoughts. Think about ways to resolve whatever the problem is without having outbursts of yelling and/or being violent. I wouldn't recommend "taking" anything, as in medication, unless a psychiatrist feels it's necessary. Before doing that, I'd try getting a relaxation/meditation cd to listen to on a daily basis. It can help you learn natural ways to calm down, plus they're very relaxing & can help you get to sleep. If you really have a hard time with anger, see a therapist to learn coping mechanisms, and/or join a support group for anger management.
