My baby is sick and he's only 7 months old it sounds like everytime he cough the mucus is in his throat. What can i do to help him with the mucus it sounds so disgusting. As adults we know how to cough it up and spit it out, but what about babies how do they get rid of it? Please help, any advice and info is appreciated.

You can get a nose sucker (sounds gross doesn't it) that is used to suction mucus from the nose. It should work for the throat as well. But you should really consult your pediatrician about the use of it.

The only way I can think of is to, suction the mucus out. But I don't know if you can purchase a kit at a drug store, or if a Dr. has to do it.

My mother used a hand-held type suction thing. I don't know what it's called but maybe it's available in the baby aisle.

The moist air from a bath is very helpful .. Those nose suckers are groady .. but they work like a charm.
