What is the percentage of death from comas due to strokes?

My uncle just recently had 2 strokes, and has been unresponsive since last night. Please tell me the percentage of death and life from comas. It would help my family very much.

Report as

About 43 percent of the people suffering from strokes die every year. Approximately 3 percent of stroke patients have been recorded to have a second stroke within 30 days. The risk is quiet high after the first one but reduces with time. You can check out http://www.stroke.org/site/DocServer/NSA_complete_guide.pdf for more information.

I'm really sorry to hear that.

Details about the relation to strokes and the number of deaths on average can be found on this page here : http://dying.about.com/od/chronicillnesses/a/No_3_Killer_.htm

I wish for nothing but the very best to happen to your uncle.

My grandmother had an issue with strokes for as long as I can remember she lived to be 96 and the only thing she suffered from was not being able to walk but that was brought on by diabetes...her feet were swollen. I miss my grandma she was awesome.
