When you charge a credit card online, does the purchase go straight to your email? Also, when are you notified of the purchase?

I think there's a gap between processing actual order and charge to the account. once it's over credit card kicks in followed by email notification. meanwhile the charge card account status shows 'pending' for a brief amount of time. In most cases email confirmation come as soon as order placed in.

The purchase goes straight to your account. You will then be notified immediately on your email, about the charge you have made. If you don't receive the notification immediately, then you will be required to wait for some time, about two days, for the notification.

It depends upon which company you buy from, and maybe which bank you have the card with. I normally get an invoice/receipt from the retail company within a few minutes. The charge on my card may not show up for a day or two.
