I think its ok to read to them sometimes. They will enjoy it, im sure. But you also need to let them read on their own so that reading will become easier for them. If you read to them all of the time they may struggle with reading more. Have them read to you, or with you. That way you are doing something together, but they are also practicing. I am dyslexic and it can be hard at times to read, but the more you do it the easier it gets. I hope this helps.
Generally their listening comprehension is higher than their reading level. So reading to them and books on cd would be great. It helps them when reading because they are exposed to higher vocabulary which also helps with anticipating the words when reading and dyslexic readers need it.
My daughter is dyslexic and graduated from college with honors in economics and business law. We found her reading comprehension was greatly improved if she read out loud rather than to herself. Let them read to you...It works really well.
