our business's target is profit and we have to get money so that we are able to survive, that's the reason that information has to be distorted during the course of business.
we have law in our society to protect ecological structure, but all kinds of illegal activities of business which hurt our ecological structure might not be recorded. nobody is able to follow all these illegal activities beforehand unless the government could directly get involved to the business management, I mean only the information management, but the market and products are still managed by the business owner.
This is a idea which is different with anyone else, but i think it is very good way.
I know most businesses have a terrible effect on ecology, especially treelopping contractors and miners (coal, iron ore, everything!) Some other's just alter it, which can be beneficial. Eg. fish farms, oyster farms, prawn farm- which spare the natural, wild marinelife. Other sorts of farming (meat, fruits & vegetables) is basically just a neccessity now because we don't grow and harvest our own foods for out clans anymore, and there are so many of us humans now!
So, the majority is devasting effects, but some is basically a neutral thing.
A business affects the ecological structure in the production of goods where they use natural resources as the raw materials. Another effect is in the manufacture of harmful substances like fossil fuels which cause environmental pollution.
