Words are very powerful. Words can completely change a mood, an outlook, a decision. Words used wisely will build relationships and enhance discussions. Words used carelessly destroy relationships and cause arguments.
If you're clever enough with your words, you can bring someone to their knees, and have them totally confused and bewilded, while you simply walk away with your head held high, and a big wide grin on your face...what could be better?
They can not cause physical damage to someone in the form of injury, but they can be used in many ways that can hurt or help someone. Then can start and improve relationships, be used to persuade someone (Something I practice a lot), be used to demoralize someone, even be used to command an entire countries government.
Yes they can have an adverse effect on someone you never see again yet what you have said can affect them throughout the rest of their life even though you never give that person another thought or the negative comment.
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. 7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. 8 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? 12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.
Words have the power to mend or repair. They can also break or destroy. And I don't care how tough you think you are, if someone you give a damn about says something hurtful & discouraging, then most likely we'd be offended & upset. We are human after all.
Your words are a lot like your actions! They can do damage but leave much more lasting invisible results!! You need to choose your words wisely before you speak, its like looking before you leap. Because those words could come back to haunt you some day!! As the old saying goes" people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones"
Any words you speak have a frequency, and the moment you speak them they are released into the Universe. The law of attraction responds to all frequencies, and so it is also responding to the words that you speak. When you use very strong words, such as "terrible", "shocking" and "horrible" to describe any situation in your life, you are sending out an equally strong frequency, and the law of attraction must respond by bringing that frequency back to you.
The law is impersonal, and simply matches your frequency. Do you see how important it is for you to speak strongly about what you want, and not to use strong words about what you don't want?
It depends on who you are taking to, who you are and what the situation is. It's been said philosophers win wars- I'm inclined to agree mostly. Where would America be if we did not have a constitution that has values worth fighting for? The truth is people like me would have worked to let it burn a long time ago if I disagreed. We cannot sustain a country without them- we do not see nations of reptiles now do we?
A tongue that utters falsehood may deceive for a while, but untruth does not prevail in the long term.
The tongue is very powerful - it can breathe life or death into a person life. When spoken to hurt it can assassinate one's character. The intent by the speaker is to accomplish just that....Safeguarding our tongue from what is bad means that we will avoid spreading harmful gossip. Instead, we will always strive to be upbuilding when we talk to others. Further, we will strive to be courageous and speak the truth.—Ephesians 4:25, 29, 31; James 5:16.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,” says the Bible of this small member of the human body. (Proverbs 18:21) Indeed, how many times have we heard of the human tongue’s death-dealing power being wielded in fabricating lies and false testimonies that have brought ruination, even death, to innocent victims?
I believe we are condemned by deed, not words, and you are saved buy deed not words.you can preach Hell and high water all day, then steal your neighbors chickens at night, and all those words meant nothing
