I'd say its 97% sure the fiscal cliff will be avoided by agreeing with Obama by midnight new years eve. Am I wrong ?

Seems like young Americans are unaware or unconcerned about the big DOWN impact of there being no agreement by midnight ?

Yes, the republicans will cave and the dems will continue their outlandish spending spree, and America will continue its downward spiral.

I'm in Australia and I'm worried (for another GFC). I don't see what the issue is with agreeing with Obama- it's simple logic!

Even if they miss midnight, they can still work things out in jan in time to halt the sequestration.
