Any exercise tips?

I'm trying to lose weight, and along with a better diet I'd like to work out. I'm 15, so I'm limited to a gym. I want to do a variety of workouts for my overall body, but I can't really "jump around" per say, because I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment. Any suggestions that arn't too noisy?

You can do two simple exercises one is cycling and second is swimming. This will help you a lot. In both these exercises all the body parts get movements and lose weight proportionately.

Avoid any foods that metabolize into glucose (blood sugar) - elevated levels of glucose will trigger an insulin neutralizing response - and cascade to increased cortisol - which will store glucose as glycogen (in lipid cells - fat cells). For exercise for rapid weight reduction, beyond the diet changes, start weight (resistance) training at least 3 days a week and aerobic training on off days. Expect to have sweet food cravings (bread and wheat products metabolize into sugar - get a BMI table to see which foods to avoid). This will take discipline and persistence - you're changing metabolic "set-points" - and human bodies "panic" if they detect a loss of stored fat (a hangover from evolutionary survival advantages) - eat more often but in smaller portions - and cut off food intake about 4 hours before going to sleep - no snacking - eat slow burning carbs (veggies) - avoid at all costs, high fructose corn syrup additives, and supplement with whey based non-fat protein smoothies - especially with resistance training. It gets easier as you keep this up.

Rath: RA also told me to join you all - regarding the FSM - but I have no idea how to find that question - I'm on an iPad and the Ask app just randomly chooses what questions to present when I hit "My Q&A" - I'll try the browser access and see if I can find you - thanks - and happy new year!
