Re: my tooth fell out. Can I glue it back with super-glue? It's right in front and looks bad. My dentist is a long ways away.

He has my file and I go back to him every summer for check ups but now this has happened and I just can't take up and go just because my tooth fell out.. I[m very dissappointed but the fact remains, the tooth is out. I just don't know how to put it back in other than to take time off work and go to Mich and I can[t do that.

Many years ago I worked for a dentist and patients routinely came in after using super glue on a denture tooth that fell off..the problem? ... Super glue is soluable in saliva...so it will fall back off in a day.

My answer is the same as it was on the same question you asked earlier. I don't think anybody in their right mind will tell you to use "super glue" like you asked about.....

seriously? you can't glue a tooth back in. the glue would get everywhere, and soon the tooth would just fall out again. plus, you'd probably accidently ingest some of the glue which could make u sick. once a tooth is out, its out. if it was a baby tooth, u have to wait for the adult tooth to grow in, and the baby would've fallen out eventually anyway to let the adult grow in. if it was an adult tooth, you'll have to get a dentists verdict on what to do about it. but, there is no way you can get it back in the way it was, especially not with glue.

Don't try to put it back in, because that can possibly cause infections from the bacteria exposed to the tooth. And especially don't try to glue it, because some glue is toxic. Go see a dentist, even if it isn't your regular one. You'll get a fake tooth put in place of the old one and you'll be fine.

I had something similar happen to me when I was 10. My friend has a mini golf club and we were at the park and she swung it back like a real golfer and hit me in the mouth, and it cracked my tooth almost straight down the center, so I had to go see a dentist, and the only time I could was during school. My dentist was away so I had to see a different one, and he actually did a better job than my usual dentist would have. My point is 1. You need to take time off of work to see a dentist because it may be bad for your health if you don't. 2. It doesn't matter if you see your usual dentist or a new one, as long as you get it dealt with.

Any dentist can do a simple procedure like that. Ask people at work for a recommendation or use Yelp. You don't want to leave the post exposed because it may break. Also, keep it clean. This happened to me and I lost the tooth years later...sorry but it's true.

Really? I would not recommend using super glue in the mouth. Or on any other body part. Just saying!

Do not use super glue! Or any glue at that matter. Super glue is poisonous and it will go everywhere, you mouth will be disgusting, solid and taste horrid, plus you could poison yourself..
