The bible dosent stop anything, reading and understanding it does.(no, I dont think it should be in schools. If reading it isnt a choice, it's meaningless. But I also dont think they should have to have "holiday trees".)
good question, the pope has to travel in bullet proof vehicles, because no matter how much good there is in this world, there is always some evil here, and it will try and destroy the people who are leading the good, and the pope is one of those people who are leading the good
The Bible does not protect against school shootings. The Pope is from the Catholic religion, and many branches of religion come from the Catholic religion. Some people in other religions may not agree with the Pope, and therefore they may try to do bodily harm to him. I also think anybody in politics should wear a bullet proof vest, for precaution.
The papacy is and has almost always been on of the most crioked, artigant, power hungry and money hungry positions in history, teaching heresy and blasphemy as truth when it has nothing to do with the actual bible. It is a position that belongs largely to satan. Why would God protect him when the man most likely calls out to a dead human woman for protection in his time of need.
First of all, the issue of whether or not the Bible should be permitted in schools and whether that has any bearing on school shootings is a completely separate issue from why the Pope rides in bulletproof vehicles. Therefore, I don't see the purpose of this question other than to be difficult. However... The Pope rides in bulletproof vehicles because he is a high-profile individual, same as the President, the Queen of England, etc. Simple as that. Just because he's a religious figure doesn't mean he isn't subject to the (sometimes malicious) consequences of the free will of others around him. Now I feel someone should clarify that while the Bible should not be TAUGHT in public schools, if a student or teacher wants to bring a Bible to school for personal use, that is their right and there should be no law against it. Finally, the simple presence of Bibles in schools does not prevent shootings; however, the presence of people who read and follow the morals and principles of God's law as found in the Bible does.
What if one of those crazy dim wits decides they don't like child molesters? It's about dropping violent hateful propaganda into the world and then hiding in a bullet proof box- we want to be able to watch the rabble eat each other from a safe location.
I'm positive that schools shouldn't teach my children about a relationship with Jesus Christ.... That's my job... To help them and to guide them. That boy had problems we'll never understand and an illness that was clearly never properly treated. Our world has a real messed up way of dealing with things. We end up shooting or pushing or abusing before we ask for help. Satan was happy that day. For every one person who turned TO God that day.... I don't want to imaging the number that away.
The pope is just a man. I know people worship him but personally I think it's wrong. As far as bibles in schools how does that stop shootings? I love Bibles in schools but the crazies are coming from outside the schools and probably don't know anything about the Bible.
If bible could ensure morality then how come that so many priests turns out as pedophiles in the midst of a library full of bibles, and within the procession of holy ghosts, inside the churches -- the supposed house of bible god?
Truth is, there are crazy people in the world, and the Bible doesn't create them nor stop them. They seem to be in every tongue and tribe, and some are more crazy than others. Your question has merit. We don't have a problem with people having Bibles at school. We have problems with teachers teaching religion in public school. You are free to bring a Bible to school and read it in free time, as are all people free to read the book of their choice. But schools are not allowed to favor one religion over another, or indeed faith over non-faith or vice versa. Gets tricky, but if it were easy, we would not need our brains.
It's not the Bible that stops school shootings. It's people being afraid of the world. That's putting the World before God. When people wake up and decide not to allow people or the government to control their lives and stand up for the righteousness of God. Then God will move in their behalf.
38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
2 Chronicles 7:14
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
You have taken something out of context and you then came to an incorrect conclusion. A similar statement could be made about the Bible in the home. When the Bible and what it's contents espouse are pushed aside and ignored many people feel that a sort of moral decay occurs in society. This is what I have heard. I don't preach this but I don't want to argue against it either.
