Is it rock, paper, scissors or scissors, paper, rock?

I have always played it using the first phrase, but I happened to hear it said the second way. Am I wrong or could the people have been just having fun and switching it up?

It can be said any way. It's still the same game whether it's ro sham bo, rock paper scissors, scissors paper rock, or any other combination of the words.
