What are some natural ways to fall asleep?

Well today I am going to belize in about 3 hours and I cannot sleep... Any natural ways that I could get my 3 hours? Thanks.

Your sleep is dictated by YOUR body clock--you need months of a routine--same time each day you should get up and get ready for the day--eat 3 meals a day and 6 hours before the intended sleep time--no coffee or soda--no rigorous activity--read a book and find quiet things to do. Your body will regulate it 's internal clock. Try to avoid stress and worry, too. Don't use pills during the day--caffeine is a big part of pills and food--avoid it by reading ingredient labels.

For starters, don't move too much and don't consume anything of sugar 4 hours before you sleep. Don't walk around 15 minutes before you try to sleep. The primary goal is to convince your brain that it's to rest, because the brain is one hell of a stuck-up guy. Try closing your eyes, and try to sleep in a position you are most comfortable with. You could always listen to some soothing music too.

counting sheep usally would bore you to sleep and mabey drink some warm milk

If your bed is against a wall. Turn to your right or the side your bed is against and just close your eyes and just listen whatever sounds coming from outside. (I have car sounds, it's actually very soothing..)

Well tonite was hard because our neighbors were shooting off fireworks....

Oh.. That sucks! My neighbors do stuff like loud teenage party's up till 3 am. But I just take a really soft pillow and put it over my ear ^.^

Don’t keep a TV or a computer in the bedroom. The light keeps the brain stimulated. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco. Wear socks to keep your feet warm in bed. Take a warm bath before bed. Read a portion of the Bible. This will take your mind off your trip briefly, allowing your brain to settle.

when you breath in count one when you breath out count two think only of one and two over and over again i do it all the time :)

Go to www.rainymood.com. It's a site that pretty much makes rain noises come out of your computer. It is really calming and it helps me when I have trouble sleeping.

I do deep breaths and count them. It works for me. The counting literally gets me so bored, I fall asleep!

start at your feet and flex your muscles working all the way up your body. and dont move. it will slowly relax you.

Drinking warm milk is supposed to help but it tastes disgusting!
Ive also heard drinking tea or eating cherries will do it too(:

Remove as much caffeine from your diet as possible. Cut out all coffee after 12pm. Remember caffeine maybe relatively safe, but it is still a stimulant that can deter a good nights sleep.

Listen to relaxation cd's,don't eat any large meals or foods that contain sugar before bedtime, read a book,meditate,turn your tv off once you feel relaxed and try to clear your mind of all negative thoughts. That's where meditation comes in.
