Can someone help me solve this literal equation for x step by step?
(x+1)/3+(3*x-2)/4=(x+5)/8-(7*x-1)/6-37/12

Step1 write down problem on paper the correct way (x+1) over 3 plus sign in the middle 3x-2 over 4 equal sign x+5 over 8 minus sign in the middle 7x-1 over 6 minus sign in middle 37 over 12

Step 2 cross multiply everything until the equal sign because you need a common denominator to add and substrate fraction (x+1) times 4, (3x-2) then your common denominator is 12 now on the other side of the equal sign multiply (x+5) times 3, (7x-1) times 4,37 times 2

Step3 now if you put the fractions with common denominators together you should have (4x+4+9x-6) over 12 equals (3x+15-28x+4-74 over 24

Step4 simplify (13x-2) over 12 equals (-25x-55) over 24

Step5 multiply the (13x-2) over 12 fraction by 2 now it is (26x-4) over 24

Step6 cross of the denominators

Step7 you now have 26x-4=-25x-55 put x's on the left side and numbers on the right side now simplify ( remember when you move numbers on the other side of the equal sign you change the sign)

Step8 now you have 51x=-51 and x=-1 I hope this helped its 100% correct ply give thumbs up.

On the 7x-1 over 6 after multiplying by 4 shouldn't it be 28x + 4 ?

[(x/3)+.33]+[(3x/4)-.5=[(x/8)+5/8]-[(7/6)-(1/6)] divided by negative 31 divided by 12... I'm just guessing this is how you're supposed to do this, so it might be wrong...

8x+8+18x-12 = 3x+15-28x+4-74
