How should I attempt getting my failed test signed?

Just tell them they are just going to be even more mad when you don't tell them or lie about it. Also if you tell about they may be able to help you for next time.

Get a real signature, and they'll know the situation and help you fix it

Go to your parent (whichever one would be easier on you about it), and say, "I got a really, really, really bad grade on a test. I need you to sign it." Look really ashamed and everything. Then show them the test and since a 61 isn't "really, really, really" bad, I think things will be better for you.

Be honest with them and get them to sign it, I've had many of those experiences and sometimes it doesn't go so well, but I'd rather be honest than a fake, you know?

Bite the bullet ! Get it signed! Ask the teacher what you can do for extra credit to bring your grade back up. And ask your parents to help you study for the next test.
