No. So long as civilization doesn't collapse the next world war will be "fought" with cash and pens, not tanks and ships. We live in a global economy and the major players will not risk the loss of profit it provides, buying a country is much easier then invading one.
Humans are pretty self-destructive. At some point it will be inevitable. Though, It somehow "awakens" something in humans.. see what happened before. The wars. what happened after. Humans improved and "behaved" and become better as a race. As cruel as we are and as humane as we are, war is the darkest spot in human civilization. It should never really happen but it does. That's how messed up humans are sometimes. As brilliant and as smart as we are. We do find ways to somehow mess things up.
The word is INEVITABLE!!!! But it is most likely to be the Cross versus the Crescent in the war to end all wars. But, as always, all it will prove is how many young people we can kill at one time. NOTHING will be solved and we just go back to our usual intolerant ways and snarl at each other. It's called 'being Human.'
