How do you be a sleuth like Nancy Drew?

I have seen the movie twice now and I loved it. When I love something I go through a phase. This time I want to be a sleuth like Nancy Drew, please help.

I've been through similar phases, and I also love Nancy Drew, but some things are just meant to be read and seen in movies (:
