Yes, Israel always has been our greatest ally in the Middle East, to turn away from them would be coldhearted, backstabbing and dishonorable, they have always acted as our friends, it would be wrong not to act the same towards them
If you are referring to the Palestine/Israel conflict....I think the United States as well as other countries should stand for justice and equality. Everything should be done to reach a compromise between Palestine and Israel. Palestinians had their land taken away from them in order to create Israel. This is the wrong that needs to be made right.
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions." We helped start the mess in 1947, so we have an obligation to see it through. I can understand both sides, imagine how New Yorker's would feel if the UN came along and said "Ok, you all need to get out because we're giving this land back to the native Americans." and its only been 250 years. If we wish to find peace in the region we only need look to the struggles in Northern Ireland, same issues, same struggle, same solutions. Although it must all begin with the recognition of the STATE of Israel by the neighboring Arab nations.
Any who oppose the Muslim brotherhood should be lent support. Sharia is moving backwards into the dark ages. Israel has been on our team and turning our back is not the right thing to do. I'm with Obama on this one- defend Israel.
Don't you think Americans have been the world's police force for far to long? Anyways, it's clear to any rational person that supporting Israel is a net loss to the US. As s a nation, you get absolutely nothing in return for it and instead you are mired in costly unending religious conflicts. Just think about it for a sec, if anyone other than Israel had broken so many UN resolutions, America would have bombed them back to the stone ages.
