Is my belly button piercing infected? How should i be cleaning it and how many times a day?

I got it pierced two days before Christmas and the guy said just to clean it twice a day with contact solution. Well I've been doing it and now its got like red circles around the holes. Does that mean its infected, and is that how im suppose to be cleaning it? It's not swollen or anything, but the contact solution seems to make my skin dry and a little scabby around the holes? is that good or bad

You should NOT be cleaning with contact solution!
You should be cleaning with saline wound wash. It can be found almost anywhere, cvs, walgreens, etc.
If the holes are a little red, swollen, a little pussy, or even bleeding a little, that is NORMAL if the piercing is less than 2 weeks old....

If you have had your piercing for a while and are now starting to feel these symptoms, then it is probably infected. Go see a doctor.

To avoid infection,
-DO NOT use peroxide, neosporin, or alcohol!!!!!!
-dont take baths, because you sit in your own bacteria.
-do not touch it unless cleaning it.
-do not let pets near your belly button, their hair can get in the wound and irritate it, causing infection.
-try not to sleep on your stomach.
-wear loose clothing.
-clean it after swimming.
-clean 3 times a day.
-do not dry with towels, they carry bacteria!
-do not take out or change until 5 months later!!!

You should not be using eye contact solution, but rather soapy water.

It will dry out the area, soapy water is a lot better. i don't think it's infected yet, but it could be soon.

Clean with soap and water in the shower in the morning. Clean with peroxide at night before bed. Put neosporin on after cleaning both ways/times.
