Do you believe that God only hears the prayers of a repentant heart?

Yes I do believe it. Although the moment a person repents God WILL hear him. A nonbeliever most likely would not be praying to Him anyway.

No... But you need to have a good heart and really try to do the right thing. He loves you even when you're being bad, and when you are repentant he always forgives. So he'll hear your prayers if you're NOT repentant... But it helps if you are.

John 9:31 We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will.

Job 35:13 Indeed, God does not listen to their empty plea; the Almighty pays no attention to it.

No one said they weren't a sinner. We are sinners Saved by grace. By the power of the Holy Spirit you can overcome your sin.

A god, according to Christian theology, is a spirit. A spirit neither has ears to hear, nor has eyes to see. Why would a mother have to clasp a dead child in her breast if any god listened to any prayers of man?

History is the witness that no prayer has ever coaxed one drop of rain from the sky, one ray of light from the sun; that no prayer has stayed the flood, or the tides of the sea, or folded the wings of the storm; that no prayer has given water to the cracked and bleeding lips of thirst, or food to the famishing; that no prayer has stopped the pestilence, stilled the earthquake or quieted the volcano; that no prayer has shielded the innocent, succored the oppressed, unlocked the dungeon's door, broke the chains of slaves, rescued the good and noble from the scaffold, or extinguished the fagot's flame. The intelligent man now knows that we live in a natural world, that gods and devils and the sons of God are all phantoms, and that the stone gods of a savage answers prayer and protects his worshipers precisely the same, and to just the same extent, as the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

All are made righteous by the blood of the Lamb. If Christ didn't take their prayers & pleas & cries for help to the Father, then where is their salvation, where is their soft place to fall, where is their safety net ?
