I believe it's true. To me it's a much more sound theory than Adam and eve.

They don't really have much true evidence to back it up and all their "missing links" turned out to be wrong. Don't believe in it.

It's an excuse not to believe in creation even though evolutionists know that it really happened and have a ton of facts pointing to creation. I think evolution is. Waste of time and a lack of brains.

What "creation" are you referring to?
Report as
Creation of the World.
Report as
By what?
Report as
Um God.
Report as
The stupidity! It burns! Ahhhhh!
Report as
Haha, agreed.
Report as
Fact: There's mountains of evidence for evolution and only wishful thinking for creation.
Report as
Bullish!t, I could go on and on but I'm not about to start an argument. The stars even prove creation was real........over and out. I rest my case, speak to the hand.
Report as
The "stars"? Now we're using astronomy? There's a reason it's called "blind faith" Rebel.
Report as
Rebel....I believe jjjjjj13 was referring to you. So if god exists...there is no way he set events into motion that led to creation if mankind through evolution?
Report as
Naw....do you want a complete list....even Darwin admitted evolution was false.
Report as
Darwin was a religious man, from a religious era, and he never said evolution was false. And I can assure you I've seen your list before from other misguided creationists and none of it adds to the creation myth but only attempts to exploit the few holes that remain (until we uncover the answers) in evolution.
Report as
Yes he did, you might want to research that. He even married a Christian.
Report as
Well that makes sense doesn't it, a Christian marrying a Christian :/....All Darwin ever said was that life was "Such a wonder that surely it must have been the work of an intelligent creator." He did NOT say evolution wasn't at work in the world.
Report as
He did he said he worried that he had devoted his life to a phantasy and that he was ready to cry with vexation at his blindness and presumption.
Report as
He was a Christian!! Of course after a life-time of being bashed and demonized by more traditional Christians he would have doubts on his death bed. Btw I hope your not one of those that think Darwin was the end all and be all of evolution, He was the first to theorize about it but that was 150 years ago, we have made huge leaps in our understanding of the natural world since then.
Report as
Okay then. I won't argue with you anymore...it's not worth it
Report as
Man, how long can they hide their heads in this soil of "the book said so"?!!?
Report as
I believe in both, god created life and let it evolve slowly, surely those who believe in the bible will admit that god works in mysterious ways. Some equate the snake with evil, because satan appeared in that form to eve . Snakes aren't naturally evil, god created them, not the devil.but in my opinion there was no Eden, no snake and no satan. God created evolution, for reasons only he knows. But 1st he lit the fuse for the Big Bang, that is if it actually happened.

I fully believe in it, I even have a Darwin fish magnet in support, for it has evidence that proves it.

Evolution is simply an invention of people who are desperately trying (and miserably failing) to totally ignore our Creator, so they have to explain how the world came into being without a Maker.

There's mountains of evidence proving evolution, you just won't except it. Typical of the statement "blind faith"
Report as

I believe that God is the ultimate creator and that the theory of evolution provides a scientific explanation for the emergence of life, that the theological interpretations of origins can embrace the evolutionary outlook and that acceptance of evolution is compatible with the Christian faith.

It's true that species do evolve over time. But that's called micro-evolution, and it's when a species gets bigger or smaller or differently colored, etc. over a few centuries. But the thought that a fish can turn into a bird, or a bird to a horse, or a monkey to a human is truly absurd.
Report as
Evolution is the result of changes in genetic code. The genes encode the basic characteristics a life form will have, and there is no known mechanism that would prevent small changes (microevolution) from ultimately resulting in macroevolution. While genes can vary significantly between different life forms, the basic mechanisms of operation and change in all genes are the same.
Report as
But if that could happen, God would only have needed to make one male and one female of something-or-other, and let them and their inbred offspring do the work. He created each species SEPARATELY and UNIQUELY, and each one reproduces after its own kind.
Report as
I'm sorry! I don't understand your argument or it's relation to my comment.
Report as
OK. Basically, I'm just saying I don't believe macroevolution is true. :)
Report as
Very well! It really not important. The difference between macro-evolution and micro-evolution are basically a difference in emphasis and level. Micro-evolution and macro-evolution are not competing explanations of the history of life any more than astronomy and physics compete for the correct explanation of the history of the known universe.
Report as
Very intelligent cyber0! Macro and micro are terms made up buy the creationists, real scientists don't use those terms.

It's pretty evident that evolution exists otherwise the tallest humans would still be around five foot tall and we would still have short necked giraffes. There are millions of examples of evolution in nature so it's pretty tough to ignore.

Those that support evolution include, the Pope and the Catholic church of Rome, the United Methodist church, the Church of England, the Muslim sects of Sunni and Shia, The Dali Lama, the Conference of American Rabbis, and many, many more. The number of Christians that do not except it are shrinking every year, just as the world being flat is no longer accepted.

Evolution happened. To believe otherwise is to give yourself over to unbelievable myths. The notion that the earth and all the universe was instantly created about 6000 years ago is an incredibly naive and ignorant one. It is the stuff of fairy tales.

I don't care if this is because of religion vs science but evolution it does exist. every single second all living things are adapting the changing environment. If we really came from the monkey that is other topic.

Evolution is fact! Like the world being flat, or the Earth being at the center of the universe, creation will fade away and future generations will look back and chuckle at how simple-minded we were.

You do not need to "believe" in evolution.....it is a scientific fact.

Creation is part of the christian theology...which requires you to "believe" without proof.

Evolutionary theory may well be the single greatest advance in human understanding to date. It's implications go far beyond the biological realm. Defenders of the status quo fear & loathe it for more reasons than the blow to their vanity that "descending from apes" gave them. It also contradicts their traditional claim that society is structured the way it is (and always has been, always will be so) because God willed it so.and that any attempts to change things is therefore a rebellion against Gods' will.

Seems a likely theory to me, I like the idea, but you can't evolve until life has been created. if god chose to start small and bring us along slowly, he could certainly do that if he wanted to.it makes so much more sense than Adam and Eve . science is gods idea also.!!!

Chill people. Evolution was witnessed not made up. Somehow, somewhere, someone was a little not too scared to get out and collect some samples and realize that wait a minute; things are changing. It DOES have tons and tons of documented evidence for support. If you don't believe me, just google it. Or is that also a part of a worldwide conspiracy that is taken place against the book?

Clearly. Because anything that goes against the bible is clearly a conspiracy/wrong.

I believe humans have been around about 250,000 years. We did not evolve from apes, hence the missing link between what is clearly an ape and Heidelbergensis which is clearly human. Way too much of a gap.

It is real in fact scientist have found a fossil of a animal with lemur like features however it was 4700000000 years old and it had thumbs like us just the right angle to hold thing like monkeys can so id say we gain more proof of evolution over the year to one day we find hardcore proof to learn we humans come from a lower species in ancient times.

on a microscopic level, true. On a macroscopic level, it's wrong. There's so many things that are wrong with evolution... People don't believe in Darwin's version of evolution anymore, btw. It's been disproved time and time again
