Have some speakers play the sound of the ocean. I started doing that a couple days ago, and it works wonders!

get comfortable in your sleeping space. concentrate on your breathing, feel the breath coming in and out of your belly, think of the breath going thru your body. Let the constant flow of thoughts fade as you focus on breath.

'Having a vigorous day' and 'eating yogurt or cucumber or drinking milk a while before sleep' are among the healthiest.

If you have an iPod, go to YouTube and look up sleep meditation or sleep hypnosis. It's really calming and so far after just five minutes of listening to the video I've fallen asleep. When the video is finished you don't have to worry about turning off your computer if you use your iPhone or iPod or something as t turns off automatically. It works for me... I hope it works for you too.

1. exercise earlier in the day
2. shut off electronics approximately 1 hour before bedtime
3. warm shower
4.read a book

FYI:
and if each of the above fail you should find something to keep you busy until you feel yourself tiring out because just laying in bed only wastes time

does "meditation" before bed come to mind? It's a great stress reliever and the least stress you have on your mind when you go to sleep, the better.

slow melody will make u sleep and have milk before going to bed definitely works..u can also dance so that it makes u tired before taking milk..gd luck

there are lots of different ways for different people. I think that reading untill you are really tired works well but some people think these help
1. have a shower
2. drink warm milk
3. watch a film
4. count sheep (not very good)
5. believe it or not exercise in the day or before bed will make you ready for bed.
6. get someone to read to you
7. make a dream up in your head with your eyes closed to that you can imagine it.
8. just shut your eyes and wait till you go to sleep!!!

Go to sleep early, take a shower before you go to bed, get some comfortable pillows/blankets, listen to relaxing music while going to bed.

Drink warm milk and go to bed earlier. or watch somebody yawn and it makes you yawn so then your tired.

Try not to go to bed if you are not tired.Have a snack about an hour before bed,so you are not hungry.Wear comfortable bed clothes.Getting into a made bed seems more comfortable. I like "White Noise" which is a fan.Make sure and this is important, make sure your room is very dark and quiet.Try different things.

For a long time this has happened to me, I finally found the solution, just sleep at a reasonable time, make sure you don't eat anything too sugary before bed. Read, or do a relaxing activity before bed, but not music, you might start to sing and dance, and that means energy, which you DO not want before bed. GOOD LUCK!

melatonin pills. its what your body uses to go to sleep. no worry about a overdose. it actually works and you stay asleep. 1 problem it makes you more tired in the morning and you usually get up later.

i think you should work out any work out set up or push up, for 30 minute and than you will have the best sleep :)

I think you should take a hot shower and drink some warm milk. I put vanilla extract in the milk, then heat it. Then I froth it with the frother machine thingy and put a pinch of brown sugar with some cinnamon on the top. It's actually really good :)

Go for a swim, take melatonin, or read the bible. Im a catholic, but everytime I read the bible I pass out in under 5 mins.

having a good nights sleep really depends what kind of person you are . In the sleeping world there are 3 kinds of people : 1 . a person that likes it pitch black and quiet (that would be me ) 2. people who like the radio on and a nightlight (my dad ) btw ( there is no age to old for nightlights ) 3. ocean waves or soft music while a medium amount of light comes in
