It's a sign you can think for yourself, and not play follow the leader. Take time to do your research, and find where you belong on the subject. Don't let anyone tell you it's bad. You have a brain, use it.
No, because that fact does not reflect who you are as a person. Despite what some may think, being an atheist does not make you a better or worse person- you are just a person and what kind of person you are depends on your actions and intentions, not belief, or lack of a belief, in God.

I must have watched the movie Dogma by Kevin Smith over 30 times and it's one of my all-time favorites.......this clip talks about your question......it's a minute long http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efTwYSuqIgo
You can believe whatever you desire. But I've got a Q for you ? Why wouldnt you be seeking some form of security & fortress in Gods presence if your concerned about all these things that are happening to you ? I'm not trying to hassle, just curious, I thought you weren't being serious about your last Q.
I like going with probabilities. So I'll pose a question. What's the chance of finding a Rolex watch growing in a cave? Consider that the human body is far more complex than any watch. This leads me to believe in some sort of intelligent design. What's the designers name? That's up for discussion.
It's your own belief. No one should tell you what to believe. Some hardcore Christians might harass you and think you aren't right, but that's all. I believe in God, and I don't care if you do or don't.
No, it means you are a sensible rational person that isn't easily taken advantage of. If you've rejected the basic assumption that a god exists then its fairly obvious that you are a free thinker and that you don't just believe things because people pitch you with some apologetic garbage and confused nonsense. coercion and/or threats.
Just think... If there is a God and a Satan, and you tell God that you just didn't believe he was real and so now that you would know you should be let into Heaven. Do you think that he would tell you, "Yes you may enter?" The truth is he will not.
Since you feel that God does not exist as well as Satan, why do you pose the question of whether this is bad? As humans we all have the faculty of freedom of choice. I personally believe this wonderful gift is implanted in us by God. Do you appreciate having the freedom to choose what you will do and say, what you will eat and wear, what kind of work you will do, and where and how you will live? Or would you want someone to dictate your every word and action every moment of your life? Genesis 1:26 tells us that God created man in his 'image and likeness'. One of the faculties God himself has is freedom of choice.
Does it feel bad to think that God does not exist? If it feels good to believe there is no God, then do not force yourself to believe in something you simply do not, you might as well brainwash yourself with bleach, however if it feels bad, find the belief or religion that fits who you are in your heart without selling yourself short in any way at all.
