These are people whose point of view is no wider than the pupil of their eye, which in turn is probably the same size as the working part of their brain. If it is your custom, habit, or desire to wear a scarf, by all means do so. I, for one, have no problem with it.
This does not make up the majority of people, in my opinion. Listen, I am in NYC on a weekly basis, I've seen some pretty strange and crazy outfits that have nothing to do with religious beliefs. The scarf over the head is more common than you think. Don't let it bother you and just move along when you encounter this type of juvenile behavior.
There are two images The first image of women wear scarf and this women focus on her house, her children , she is the root which keeps soul family life.......Educates and trains her children.......Help for her husband . The second image of American beauty women contestants don't wear nothing but bikini is almost naked in front of millions strut on television. ...Her shopping to higher-priced bidder. It sells itself to the public auction every day The first have been shrouded from public and other completely open. Who's better?
I guess you are talking about scarves worn over the woman's head. It was common in the U.S. At least in the 1940's & 50's in the fall and winter months but not so much now I've noticed. Muslim women I've seen wear a scarf like garment which fits more closely around the face and it's most times black. I've heard women say that they feel sorry for them because they think that those dressing this way are living under some sort of submissive control. They say that American women have fought against forms of submission and women who have moved here from Muslim countries still endure this. It seems that we are seeing this type of dress all of a sudden or at least more often than in the past in the U.S. and there may be a lot of misunderstanding about what it means. Hate and slurs can evolve from this. I saw Catholic nuns dressed in what I too thought were strange garbs since my family was Protestant , but gradually as a kid I got used the facts about their dress. I suppose some of the same thoughts and comments were said about nuns, one main difference would be that they are an integral part of their church like the clergy.
Any jerk who make a remark like that would really deserve a dose of pepper spray. Unfortunately, that would just make everything much worse for you. There are always going to be creeps out there who prey on those who look like easy targets. A woman is just too tempting for a coward with a need to bully. That's always been true no matter what your religion. Pray for strength while we work on educating our idiots.
