Should I tell my parents?!

My sister told me finally that she got beat up by her friend down the street two days ago. At first she told me she got in a skateboard accident and I believed her because she never lied to me before. There's seriously something wrong but she begged me not to tell our parents and I don't know what to do. I don't want to lose our friendship! :(

This is serious!
Think with me here, if you tell your parents, do you think they're going to help her?
If yes, you love her, tell your parents, you want the best for her not the worst.
Tell her I said hi.

can you trust either of them to not say who told them? Like w/my daughters I'd protect you by insuating that a neighbor had seen the fight.

Do the right thing. Talk to your sister and see what she thinks. I can't stand a "woman beater at all". Talk her into pressing charges on him. If he done it once he'll do it again. Gotta put a stop to it. If nothing gets done about it. It'll get only worse. I can understand your relationship between you and your sister. Try to handle it in a adult manner.

Bullying is a serious issue. Does your sister know why they beat her up? Is this something that will continue? If it was a one time thing and you don't think your sister is in further danger, then let it be....but if you think your sister is in continued danger, then most definitely tell your parents. But really the best thing is to convince her to tell them...in either case. They won't be upset that she lied about the skateboard accident, but more upset that she is being bullied or mistreated by others!....that is provided that your parents are rational people...the most important thing is to let your sister know that you have her back, and are there for her if she needs a friend. Also, let her know that if this is a love interest...to discontinue the relationship! Beating and abuse in relationships, rarely gets better...usually only worse.

I know her sister, she said she doesn't know.
She is a shy young girl. She even has depression.
She was once an ask.com member, just today, she deleted her account.
She is in a very huge situation.

tell your parents, unless you plan to take matters into your own hands and have a talk with this "friend" then your parents are the next best solution
